 | | Well this was a ton of fun! I have to admit, I'm not that crazy about Ellen's videos...talks too quickly, talks too much and it's garbled. But this video was fine because it was short. I admire her abilities, just not her voice. Guess I'm too sensitive to those things.
Her directions were to use watercolor paint out of the tube and use the edge of an old credit card to scrape paint for the trees. She used Payne's Grey and so did I, one of my favorite colors. I tried to get my branches to curve, not too successful, but no matter. I kept the background simple with mostly undersea green and yellow ochre and a little quinacridone gold, another favorite color. I used the sketch and wash pencil to add some shadows to the trees. I also used the shading pencil at the bottom to darken things and add some subtle grasses, too subtle I guess.
Thanks for a very fun challenge!!!!!! Nice to know credit cards can be useful tools in more than one way. |
