The deer was cut from metallic paper. Making the backing layer of brown is a pain as there is no coordinating die, so I had to trace a die cut and then fussy cut inside the traced lines and then check that it fit.
The blues behind the opening in the birch stamped layer were made using a technique in an old stamp magazine: die cut a circle of scrap paper that is larger than the frame opening, blend on a color of DOX ink, move the circle slightly, blend the next color of DOX ink, etc.
The wooden banner was too bright, so I brushed on ink to darken the color before stamping the sentiment.
