This is my card for CC968. Karen is our hostess and she chose lemon-lime twist, daffodil delight and coastal cabana for her color trio. Dessert option this week is anything goes. I used designer paper.
I wanted to do either Christmas or Fall with these colors and Christmas won out. I have this new Holiday Angel die from CottageCutz and I thought I could make the colors work.
I cut her body and wings in white glitter paper. Her sash is in coastal cabana. The head greenery is lemon-lime twist and I shaded with the same ink for a deeper hue.
Her hair was sponged with daffodil delight ink. The O Holy Night phrase is a die from CottageCutz. I cut in black foil cardstock to make it pop against the background.
The background paper is from the Stampin' Up "peaceful place" collection. I layered with galvanized metallic and then the card base is base gray.
I hope you can play along with us this week. I am looking forward to seeing what everyone creates with these colors.

Look at YOU putting a Christmas twist on my sort of summery colors with absolute perfection! Your angel is beautiful and her dress is so lovely in the coastal cabana- one of my favorite colors! A beautiful card!!

Oh Mary, this is so striking. That dark, starry bg dp really shows off that beautiful angel. Using the colors for just pops of colors here and there was truly inspired and looks amazing. Awesome card.

This is a beautiful angel, Mary, and I love how perfectly the colors worked for creating her. Most of all, I love the background. To me, it looks as though she is flying in the night sky. So lovely!

Amazing angel! Fabulous way to use the challenge colors. Worked out perfectly. The dark background looks like the night sky which goes nicely with the die-cut sentiment and also helps the angel to shine. Love the glitter paper. Nicely done!

These colors didn't say "Christmas" to me, but you have shown that they can indeed make a beautiful Christmas card, Mary. Beautiful die cut angel with the night sky behind her.
