I went to the store today for the broccoli and straight ahead of me are the bluffs, covered with trees. Mostly still green but there was one lone red tree, probably maple. I like that, such great contrast. That tree inspired me.
This is for Beverly's TLC-paint a tree with broccoli and acrylic paint (very fun) and today's CAS-CAS mixed media.
I had some coffee grounds so I smooshed some white cs into it. Used the broccoli to dab three colors of paint at the top of the panel, then Zentangled a trunk and some roots. Decided it was a little plain so used a gel pen to border and embellish around the panel.
Thanks for the challenges...I had fun!

So lovely and the broccoli cracked me up. Did you go to the store to get the broccoli for that challenge? Not to eat? Your zentangling is really wonderful. I think it kind of looks like ribbon!

I like your tangled trunks, they give your trees a very mythical mystical look. It sounds as if you have lovely scenery on your way to go shopping, that's nice! I think that we will have just finished our regular trips to my aunt's by the time the strip of deciduous woodland we pass through looks it's best - just as gur you, there was really only one tree that stood out last week.
