 | | When I saw this weeks watercolor challenge the samples looked very peaceful. So my mind started thinking of peace and especially those who might be lacking peace. I have a new friend who is new to our community with her kids. They escaped the war in the Ukraine but her husband is still there. Since they were on my heart I decided to do an underpainting. Iâm not sure that is the correct word for the technique but it put on the page before I paint so technically it is unde the painting. I took a verse on peace from the book of Isaiah in the Bible. I took Isaiah 26:3. I used google translate to translate it to Ukrainian. I then did my best to copy that into my art journal. I then painted trying to keep the colors in my painting close to the colors in the Ukrainian flag. Even if upside down |
