Well, here are the details. I watched a tutorial by Karen Titus over a week ago for this style of card. She called it a fractured card. Or a faux shutter card, but mine is not that, as the center is not square. The white strips are abutted to each side and continue to the edge. I had the base done, but was pondering how to decorate it. Then, I saw the following card by our stamper of the week. Too Much Happy by suespms at Splitcoaststampers
So I chose the pop of cameo coral and there in my box was a cameo coral base. Then, I got an e-mail, that told me the husband of an old friend had died. He was 94. So this became a sympathy card.

Gorgeous. Love how you created this patchwork with the white strips. The black & white color scheme with just that pop of pink is stunning. And those have to be the tiniest, sweetest butterflies ever. Great card.

Ina, This is a great case of Sue's inspiration card. The black and white floral designer paper background really allows your coral flowers to pop. The white strips add another element of interest and dimension. Lovely!

Lovely card of caring, Ina. Something in the thumbnail made me think of a pieced quilt. The black/white is so effective. The coral flowers add the "dash". Sweet little butterflies.
