Stacy's pick of watercolor tutorials this past week was a wet on damp veining technique. I took Stacy's idea and did a poinsettia. I sketched it out using a picture from the internet and tried the technique. I think I got it right on two of the leaves, but it was a challenge given I have no patience and evidently can't tell damp from wet or dry. It was a fun adventure, and I like it anyway so here it is.

WOW! I think you did AMAZING on this, Nancy! In its entirety, it’s gorgeous, I particularly was drawn to the centre because of its dimension and wondered if you’d glued in peppercorns, but I think it’s just coloured??!! However, now you’ve given me an idea, lol!
