Henri Matisse said it: creativity takes courage.
One of my favorite 'techniques' is to play with a 'new to me' technique, set it aside regardless of how it turned out and then use them at some later date, forgetting what the new technique was. I'm a pro at it. Even better if I can use a couple of the pieces on the same project, like I did today.
This is for Thursday's WT-black cat day or, on my case, feature black as a main color choice. I like my daughter's cats, none of which are all black, but I can't say I'm truly a cat person, like I'm not truly a dog person. Depends on the cat or dog. I do have some silhouette cats but I figured I'd do something different. This is also for MariLynn's MIX today-handwrite something. I don't like my handwriting but I did look for some fonts and tried to recreate one. I don't think it has a name. I can't write straight so I did draw some pencil lines.
The top piece was an experiment with letting alcohol inks run, ala an artist called Zimino. She does beautiful art, although she is from Europe, doesn't talk at all or have subtitles and I often don't know what she's doing. The bottom piece is a deli paper gel print using a stencil and acrylic paint, I believe. I don't think my handwriting came out to badly, considering I don't do that kind of thing much. I don't journal but I do love quotations. Thanks for the challenges!

What an awesome and very creative card! The sentiment only adds to the creativity! Part of our creativity comes from playing , and this play session went very well!
