I created this card by taking inspiration from a card featured for this week's Stamper challenge (Renard en forêts by Micheline Jourdain at Splitcoaststampers. Although it doesn't look the same as the original, I used the idea of snow-covered trees as my starting point. I used tree stamps and blended them into the foreground of a stamp featuring a cabin in the woods. I had a lot of fun experimenting with the placement of the stamp and selectively wiping off ink to create perspective and depth. The cabin eventually turned into a cabin on a hill. Finally, I added a deer to the card by die cutting and coloring it, as a nod to the original card which featured a cute animal in the foreground.
This card may not appear to originally have been meant to be snow-covered trees, even though that was the initial intention. My final cards often turn out quite different from what I originally envisioned.
Thanks for looking and Micheline Jourdaine; your gallery is absolutely beautiful!

I always enjoy your nature cards and this one is right up there. You did create a lot of depth in the scenery with the blending and inking. It looks fabulous. And I especially love that you topped it all off by featuring that beautiful deer in the forefront. While it might not look exactly like the inspiration card, you certainly captured the essence of it with this beauty of a forest. Fabulous card.
