This project covers yesterday's F4A, today's IC and the August MMJ. This is what inspired me: https://themakerskeep.com/products/c...1b6f917f&_ss=r
Some of you know that I moved from one side of WI to the other side the end of July. I am now closer to my daughter's family, including two granddaughters. It was a stressful move, all by myself, but I will be forever grateful. They bought a second little house, just for me, I will be the tenant. But my son in law keeps saying 'it's your house!' I was able to choose paint colors and have a say in how things progressed. Am I lucky or what?!
A stamping friend of mine sent me this 'home sweet home' card featured on the front. I exclaimed to her 'that looks like my house!' and she said 'it is your house!' She took my photo from Facebook, photoshopped it and printed it onto cardstock. She did it in green because she knows that is my favorite color. I was so touched. The card isn't permanently adhered as I didn't want to mess with it.
I'm including this in yesterday's F4A because my house has gables, which makes me think of Anne of Green Gables, which is a farm house...I know, a stretch. The house will get new siding, which will be green. This month's MMJ (mixed media) had these prompts: gel printing, use a color from the current ABC19, in this case olive, white space and ephemera, which I consider the LaCrosse facts to be. I cut up stash gel prints for the background. The theme of the MMJ this month is new home, in honor of my move...thanks, Jayne!
I have always lived in SE WI. Now I live near the Mississippi so I included some LaCrosse, WI facts. Totally different history, geography, different water nearby, everything is different. I love my state and I love learning about it. I'm very familiar with this area since my daughter went to college here and never left. I think I need to learn to speak French. Yes, LaCrosse is named after the game and it was founded by French fur traders; however the first peoples here were the Ho-Chunk, Ojibwe and Sioux. I love learning! I hope this is my final home but we'll see.
Thanks for the challenges!!!!

Wonderful card,Jean ~ you do mixed Media so well! I especially loved reading the story of your move. Moving is SO stressful and SO much work but it sounds like it was a great decision, and also like you have a wonderful daughter and SIL. Nothing better than being closer to grands, either! Enjoy your new home!

I loved reading about your move to your new home. You are truly blessed to have such a sweet family who obviously love you very much. Moves are hard, but they are worth it when you find a wonderful place to settle around the people you love. Your card is so beautiful with all its lovely detail. As a quilter, it reminded me of a lovely quilt. Fabulous card and story, Jean.

Awww! What a fabulous card for On the Farm. Farmhouses are included so it fits without the stretch. haha. I like how you are featuring the beautiful gift your friend gave you and adding it to this larger piece. Fantastic!
I too am blessed to be a tenant in a home purchased just for me by my daughter and son in law. I am so happy to be a part of my grandsons daily lives now. My heart is full!
Also, I love your creations. Your submissions always jump out at me. But mostly, I love your stories. Keep 'em coming! Blessings!
