I went literal and used the tea bag stamping tutorial from our Tutorials section. I still had a couple of unfilled teabags from Anita, so I dyed it first in some tea left in our teapot. For the base I made a fossil stone background. This was a VSN a few years back, but when I went to look for the tutorial, it was a broken link. Basically you open a plastic page protector and smoosh ink on one side, then a coordinating colour on the other side. Spritz lightly and close it over, then press with your fingers so that the colours mix a bit. Open, insert two sheets of glossy card, close again and brayer to transfer the ink to the card.
I embossed with a leafy folder and edged with border stickers.

i love how that bg turned out and what a wonderful base it is for your tea bag image. I'm glad you went with the tea bag stamping...it's really fun using them on a card. Yours is lovely!

I love, love, love seeing cards made with the tea bag stamping. Oh how I wish I had some tea bags I could stamp on but alas when I do have them I completely forget and toss them. I need to write a note and leave it in my kitchen for when I have the next one. This is a great image for the tea bag too.

What a beautiful card Sabrina. Your image panel looks like linen, and I have always loved that 'vintage' stamp. I think I still have mine too. I love the gold edging too.

Sabrina, this is beautiful! I've always loved that bird image and it looks perfect on your tea died panel. The vertical embossed leaves are such a great backdrop and the gold edgeing adds another touch of elegance. Faved.

Now I'm really glad that I left the tea bag I used in the craft room. I just might try this technique. Your card is BEAUTIFUL. Love the background and those gold stickers are awesome.

Oh my gosh. I knew people dyed things with tea, but somehow I missed the actual stamping on a teabag idea. The teabag adds some interesting texture to your card. The eyelet, gold cord and tiny tag are perfect accents with the teabag.

So pretty and the image makes it Asian looking, I even didn't think of my tea bags, if you want some more just let me know. I love your background too and I remember that VSN from Melody

this is so beautifully done, with your softly colored and embossed background and that sweet bird image on the teabag. It reminds me of the simplicity and beauty I experience when I visit the Japanese Tea Gardens in Portland, Oregon. Thank you for posting this! A favorite for sure
