I combined the TLC challenge from last week with the CAS challenge for today.
I did not exactly follow the directions for the stencil stamping. I had an old stamp from Stampers Anonymous that is just flat rubber for doing reflection stamping and such. I inked it with Starry Sky ink and laid it on its back, then pressed the stencil into it. I missed that you are supposed to lay the stencil down and stamp onto it, which probably would have lifted more ink. I stamped the stamp onto white cardstock and also pressed the stencil onto the same piece for a positive and negative.
To make the card, I covered a blank Hallmark/Dollar Tree notecard with striped paper from the SU Butterfly Kisses pack. I trimmed the dark piece of the stencil stamped cardstock into a rectangle and attached to the card front. I added a strip of green pattern paper across the rectangle. I used a circle die to cut a circle from the white stencil stamped cardstock piece and layered a smaller circle from the blue cardstock onto it. I die cut the butterfly from the Parakeet Party cardstock and glued to the circle, then popped the circle up on the card with foam tape. I stamped a sentiment inside withStarry Sky ink.
Fun technique, I will have to try it the correct way next time.
