Today's challenge was to do an abstract painting using Lots of the techniques we've learned over this WCW journey. I wet my paper then splatted and blobbed several colors onto the surface - misted again and tilted and turned my piece to let the colors run and blend as they wanted. my piece is QUITE wet so I sprinkled on some Kosher salt to add some texture. Once dry, I spattered on white acrylic paint and added some random lines "painted" with the edge of an old credit card. Framed and added a die cut sentiment.

I love it! It looks like a celebratory explosion from the center. Excellent choice of sentiment for your abstract! It makes me think of the 4th of July, but it's also perfect for any celebration! I am so glad you enjoyed the challenge!

This is terrific with the colors and balance of them in this abstract painting. You are so right about having fun and a nice break from our realism. The added white gives this a beautiful design. Fav'd Hope things are cooling down a little. Tfs
