Diane's colors had me challenged at first, but when I looked through my Christmas stamps I found this set. I had never used it even though I really love this nutcracker (and the Santa is cute too.)
I decided the colors were perfect for his hat and even the Crumb Cake for his face. I wouldn't normally use that color for skin tones but he's made of wood!
I colored most of him with Stampin Blends but did need to use N0 and N1 Copics to keep the shading on the mustache light. This was super easy to color since I wanted it to be flat and not shaded. (I couldn't easily shade it one of my Blends had dried up-LOL!) To give him just a bit extra I used a gold gel pen to outline some details and added the gold pearls to his cap.
I hope you've enjoyed my nutcracker. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's creations!

Jeanne, I loved your nutcracker even before I read the caption, which brought a smile to my face. Great coloring on this wooden guy, and I love all the gold touches!
