Diane is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some rich colors to combine into a project: Pretty Peacock, Crumb Cake and Shaded Spruce. The dessert option all this month is "Christmas in July."
My card features a crazy cat from the Stamptember 2020 Tim Holtz release. I stamped the cat, colored with Copic Markers, then fussy cut, and of course some Glossy Accents to make those big eyes shine! GinaK recently did a 5-minute video where she used a direct-to-paper technique to create a multi-colored background, and then cut leaves from the paper. So clever and easy, and that's how I created the paper for my pine fronds. I stamped the ornament background with Crumb Cake ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and drew in a white string to hang the stocking. Added the caption and a few sequins. Another card into the 2023 Christmas stash!
Please play along with us this week! These colors are great for Christmas, but there are lots of other ways they can be used. We'd love to see what you create!

So cute & fun! Love the sentiment with the cat in the stocking image. Gave me a smile. Fabulous use of the challenge colors. I need to check out that video. The shiny embellishment stand out nicely on the background. Great card!

Barbara I laughed out loud at this card! That's my Leo! What a great image and sentiment and you have added all the right elements - the tree boughs and patterned paper to create a delightful card!

Your DTP technique and that background design come together for a wonderful vintage(y) setting for that quirky little cat. What a fun and delightful card!

Fun and humorous Christmas card, Barbara. Love the technique you used for the pine needles and the cat is just adorable. Thanks for the smile you gave me today!
