This week our Featured Stamper, MariLynn, is providing us with a glorious array of cards, journal pages and original artwork. So much to CASE, so little time. But I did find time to CASE this beauty: MIX532 sympathy by MariLynn at Splitcoaststampers
MariLynn had several cards with a musical bg and flowers but I chose this one because of the pink flowers. So, I kept her music and pink flowers but my flowers are die cuts; I added teal, a frame and butterfly and switched to a birthday card.
I recently asked a friend what her favorite color is and she gave me the combo of gray, rose and teal. That was on my mind when I decided on this card. I used the butterfly, sentiment and base to incorporate the teal color. And because I wanted something a little bit "fancy" on this card, I added the fancy frame to ground my flowers.
These flower dies are the kind with all the fiddlely bits so I put some soft guitar music on Pandora and channeled Zen Debbie instead of Impatient Debbie. It turned out to be a quite enjoyable process.
MariLynn congrats on being this week's FS and thank you for all the incredible projects to inspire. I hope you enjoy the cards made in your honor this week. And, I hope everyone is enjoying their "process" today whatever that might be. OMMMMMM. TFL

Some lovely touches here. Love those flowers and they look so pretty against the musical paper. How cool your friend gave you three colors when you asked her - most people would have done just one. Beautiful case, my friend. hugz

Debbie, this is a great case of MariLynn' card. Your beautiful die cut flowers are highlighted perfectly with the decorative die cut frame and musical score paper. All of these elements make such an elegant card.

I love your idea to use the art deco frame in this manner. How nice that you relaxed with background music as you pieced your blossoms and leaves together. They look gorgeous with your musical score background panel!

Beautiful! The music BG, the die-cut frame, the layers of die-cut flowers/leaves, and the soft pastels are all outstanding. The teal butterfly that matches the card frame is a perfect detail/finish...
