Happy Independence day people! This was done following along with this weeks video that Kia has shared. the closed captioning on the video was pretty non existent so, I was not sure if it was supposed to be focused on the scene, the color, or kwim? I originally thought about doing it in shades of browns actually. So, after I watched it I decided to play with a new to me brush on a scrap of wc paper. ( its very hot here) and the right side of the water had dried before I got there so, I did go over the whole thing with more paint regardless. There are before shots on the blog here. You can find this challenge here to play along with us. Thanks for this challenge Kia & tfl.

Love the scene and the far away trees. I started to do mine in brown, also, but decided on gray.

It isn't easy when it's hot to water color, but I always use a lot of water maybe that could be helpful, make it really wet.
Your trees and shadows are great, love the branches!!

Beautiful work Stacy. While it is not as hot here as where you are, in the summer I do struggle from time to time. I just try to keep the whole piece wet until I play catch up - lol!
