The teapotters are sending cards to Waltraud who had a stroke and was home from the hospital but then had some mini ones so back to the hospital for 3-4 months. She needs some color to brighten up her hospital room. No tv due to covid, no pictures on the walls apparently. How dreadful! Jacqueline is our hostess and wanted to see colorful backgrounds for some flowers as Waltraud loves flowers. I had a 2nd embossed piece from last week's FS. This time I sponged twisted citron all over it and rubbed paper towel over it to bring out the white embossing. I then punched daisies from a salty ocean sponged piece of bristol. 2 large and 1 small for each bloom. 3 medium punches for the small one. Curled a bit with my bone folder. I embossed some vellum with copper and diecut it. If you lightly sponge tombow multi in a thin layer all over the back of the vellum, it will not show any glue. Daisies are adhered with thick dimensionals. I used the perennial flower punch to make some leaves. Happy to get a card made to send over the pond to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island- I am just a ferry ride away around 3 hours to get there.

Gorgeous! Love the white embossed floral background, and twisted citron is one of my favorite colors. The daisies are lovely exp with the copper, and also on the sentiment. Great tip for the glue - THANKS!!!

So bright and colorful. It's nice to make use of some left behind backgrounds and things to use up from our stashes. Creatively done!

That gorgeous splash of blue really shone out of the gallery at me! It looks amazing against that beautiful background. Love the embossed daisies. Wonderful cheery card!

Loving the blue flowers! And the style of them is a great match with the embossed background. The copper sentiment looks great. If I ever get to North America, BC is at the top of my list of places I'd like to see.

Shirl, your bright blue daisies and wonderful embossed background daisies will, I'm sure, bring joy to Waltraud. Her days of having to bear those dull hospital walls are a thing of the past. I love your loving sentiment, too!
