A card to cheer up Elke's mom, who is in the hospital recovering from a series of strokes. She loves flowers, so we are wanting to brighten up her drab hospital walls with lots of color and flowers.
I sponged the ef background with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Oxides, and kept it to one color to accentuate the purples of the alstroemeria and butterfly. The alstroemeria flower is a coordinating die cut which I watercolored with Distress Inks and attached to the ef background. The smiling bee has Stickles on his wings to add some sparkle.

Oh, so sweet! I just love that happy little bee. Alstroemeria takes me back to when I worked in the Channel Islands, they would be in buckets by gates along the road with an honesty jar for a small donation. Wonderful colour.

The pale yellow is lovely for your flower and really shows it off. I love the texture on the flower...and the little butterfly and bee are so sweet as accents.
