This is my inspiration: https://www.lumas.com/pictures/beatrice_hug/azur/ (notice the yo-yo).
This is also for the second to last ABC18 challenge-Y is for yo-yo. Because of who I am, I had to look up yo-yo to see if there was anything to learn and boy, was it interesting. I actually found the picture of the 1791 lady on the Wikipedia site.
Yo-yos are toys that have been around since 500 BCE. In the 17th century it was called a bandalore. The word yo-yo is of Filipino origin. Pedro Flores, a Filipino immigrant opened the Yo-Yo Manufacturing Co. in California in 1928. In 1929, Donald Duncan purchased Flores' company. In 1946, the Duncan Company opened a yo-yo factory in Luck, Wisconsin. Ha, how about that!? I love learning stuff that no one else cares about. Thanks for the challenges!

Fantastic card with the 1791 lady! Wow, who would have thought yo yo's have been around so many years! I've been to Luck, Wisconsin. It is near Cumberland where I taught 4th grade. Love all the facts you shared!

Thanks for sharing that information on YoYo's! I had a Duncan yo yo when I was young and I had learned a few pretty cool tricks with it - it was a marbled pink plastic. I just love this image you found and that sentiment is so fun (I feel like it's one that Anne (jdmommy) would use!)

I had the idea they started out as hunting weapons of some kind small game or birds a long time before the toy versions anyway. this is cool, it seems like you do not see Victorian chicks getting to do something so what is the word? hmph, you know what I mean right? it just adds to the fun.
