I'm your hostess in the Color Challenge this week. I picked colors that are bright and cheerful, with a slightly masculine vibe, because I have a dear friend who is scheduled for some major surgery this week, and I plan to bombard him with cards during a very long recovery period. The colors are Cherry Cobbler, Pacific Point, Old Olive and Bermuda Bay. The dessert option is "masculine."
It's also our last time to feature Pacific Point and Bermuda Bay in the Color Challenge, as these are two of several colors that are retiring.
I used my "Create In Quads" Surprise Party stencils from Taylored Expressions this week. These stencils feature four different designs per sheet of cardstock, and there are four coordinating stencils in the set (hence four colors this week!). When you're done stenciling, you cut the sheet into four sections, and you have four color-coordinated card fronts!
I plan to send this card about halfway through my friend's hospital stay.
Please check my gallery to see the other three cards!
And please join us in the Color Challenge this week. You know you need some guy cards!

I love the idea of sending your friend cards of encouragement throughout his hospital stay and recovery! You've done a wonderful job of creating a suite of cards. (And I had a feeling you had a master plan when you picked these colors!)

What a wonderful idea - I wish I was as good at planning out my cardmaking needs! Your quartet of cards is has such a clearly communicated theme of cheerfulness and I'm sure they will be enjoyed so much. I love that slight variation of color you get with stenciling and your edge treatment echoes it so nicely. I think this one is my favorite - it is especially cheerful!

Wonderful stenciling .... and so cheerful for your friend who is facing surgery. I'm sure he will look forward to receiving your encouraging cards as he recovers.
