I kept the black and gold color scheme and the silhouette of the grad figure, but changed the shape of the card and the shape holding the grad silhouette. Since it was a CAS card with a prominent sentiment, I am also adding it to the most recent CAS challenge.
I made a card from black cardstock and dry embossed the front with a star embossing folder. I cut out a piece of white cardstock and glued it inside the card for my note to be added later. I die cut a circle from gold metallic cardstock and embossed with the same star folder. I die cut the graduate silhouette from black cardstock and glued to the gold circle, which I attached with foam tape to the card front. On another metallic gold scrap, I stamped the sentiment in black Versafine ink and heat embossed with detail black powder. I rounded the corners and attached with foam tape. The card will go to my niece who is graduating from a performing arts high school and is off to Fordhamâs theatre program in NYC.
Congrats to Karen and I hope you had an awesome FS week!

Great CASE and a Great card to celebrate a big day. I do love the black and gold theme for graduation cards and yours looks super. I adore that die and how you paired it with the stars and that great sentiment. Wonderful card.

You really did a great job on this card! The star embossing folder on the bg and the gold circle are perfect to highlight the image. I didn't have a grad die like you but I can see how having a die would be handy. It all comes together with the sentiment. Thank you so much for playing along with the challenge.
