This is for today's sketch (thank you!) and the tea party for ourselves this week. Because it was penguin day yesterday, Vicki has challenged us to make a black, white and red card. When I think of black and white, I think that Zentangle is in order. The main image is tangled on wc paper because I wasn't sure if I would add color or not. So far...not. The half circle is sturdy black cardstock, Zentangled with poke root in white. I shaded that with white chalk pencil and the floral panel with a black shading pencil and tortillon. The black layering paper is sort of a hand made paper, textured with circles. I added WOS to the dots to emphasize them, not sure that was a good idea. I dry embossed the red BG paper with dots and rubbed the real red over the dots. I tend to love botanical tangles best so that's what I chose. Now I have to decide if I want to add a little red to the main panel and what the sentiment will be. Maybe no sentiment? Not sure.
Thanks for the challenges!

Wow, so many interesting elements and they all work together wonderfully! I especially like your zen tangled panel, and those flowers are so lovely. I’ve yet to try this, but you do amazing work!!
