I was very happy to see that this week's WCW challenge featured loose water flowers. Loose florals are my favorite!
I thought the video tutorial by @paintinghyun was very helpful. Loved her nice calm voice along with soft piano music playing in the background. Her finished painting was beautiful. I used her sketch but changed the orientation from landscape to portrait. I like the colors that she used, so I used similar colors. It was a lot of fun to paint. I'm on the fence about my background though. It may be a little too busy. I seem to not know when to stop sometimes.
Enjoy!

Lovely painting with your loose coneflowers. They look attractive in the portrait mode, and the softness of your background flowers. I chose this video because of her background and you captured her technique. Great job. Thanks for stopping by this week and giving us a beauty for the gallery.

Fabulous background and wonderful cones. This is really, really pretty and came out so well. If I do another I am going to do more obvious background flowers like yours. Great ideas here. Hugz

Your coneflowers are ever so pretty and so nicely done, as is your background. The painting says to me that we are looking at a field of coneflowers, such a beauty to behold.
