Inspired by Janelle's challenge - MIX532: Chine Collé What? (4/7/2023) by dizzymommie at Splitcoaststampers, but taking off at a tangent. Because I can't see videos in the forum, I had to look a couple up to find out what the challenge was about. One of the ones I found was from Gelli Plate, and was a faux take on the process. By the time I got to it, I was simplifying it even more and skipping the stencils and extra colours of paint. And you may not even be able to see my Stamperia rice paper, but it IS there. I tore little pieces of a pretty floral one and laid them on my gel plate after first adding a light coat of white paint. I put glue on the back of all the paper scraps and then pulled my print on regular card.
Because of the little floral sprig pattern, I went with pink flowers for my focal image, using an old Spellbinders rose die and contouring them, and stamping a vine background.I stamped a lace border along two edges, and some random script. Used gilding flakes to fill the rest of the border, finishing with a silver pen and some Pearl Pen dots. Finished it off with a sentiment on a sponged and spritzed background, and added some little gold butterflies.

Well I don't know what the challenge was about but I do know it resulted in a beautiful card! I love all the swirls and the lacy border. That sentiment is a real winner for me too. Great card!

I love that sentiment!
What a pretty card. And I learned something. Never would have occurred to me to pop paper on the gelli plate and then glue to the CS for the pull. Cool beans!
Looks like you embossed the butterflies too?

It’s a beautiful card, and how you added the thin paper with your gel plate!!! I can see the rice paper, but I like fun details like that in projects! Thank you for sharing it in the Mix-Ability challenge gallery!
