Today we are visiting the fabulous gallery of our newest Featured Stamper, Karen Hartikainen. It is filled with beautiful designs, tons of fun folds, and inspiration galore. I finally decided on this lovely card because it gave me an idea to use my latest die purchase and make a much needed card for a friend: Ombre thank you by Karen Hartikainen at Splitcoaststampers
I love the eclipse technique along with that beautiful golden ombre bg. I kept Karen's yellow/golds ombre, and big die cut lettering; but changed my card to a "thinking of you" and added some whimsical elements.
For my bg, I ink blended the DOX and then, because I wanted something lighthearted, I stenciled those fun flowers from SSS with the Wild Honey DOX keeing the bg monotone. I had fully intended to do the eclipse, but after I glued the base down and saw the white lettering, I decided it looked more "playful" in white. I used a second ink blended panel to cut the butterfly and sentiment strip. And it's done.
And since I still had that fun 'YOU' to use, I reversed the colors by embossing a white bg, added some yellow flowers and butterflies and topped it with a different sentiment stip. TWO-FER!
Congratulations, Karen on being selected Featured Stamper. Your Gallery is beautiful and I had several cards marked as candidates. I might even get a chance to make some more this week. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy all the cards you will inspire. And, I hope know each of YOU know that YOU are special and I appreciate all the love you share on this site with your beautiful cards. Enjoy YOUr day. TFL.

Both are gorgeous, Debbie. So smart to do two cards. I love the happy yellow color and the butterflies. Such pretty cases! I always love your FS cards so much. Hugz

Beautiful pair of cards! I love yellow and white together; always looks so crisp and clean. I particularly like the spray of flowers balanced on that sentiment strip. Lovely tribute to the FS!
Wow, what a great set of cards, Debbie! I love the large YOU die and the yellow on yellow is so refreshing! The flowers and butterflies were the perfect finishing touches!

Debbie, both cards are beautiful. I love that you used both the positive and negative of the You die cut. The flowers and butterflies are so perfect to highlight the word.

Gorgeous/creative! Love how you used both positive and negative. The top with the EF in white with flowers and the bottom in gold tones with the magnificent matching butterfly are both fabulous...
