Cream and sugar was the title of the Technique Challenge 938. Recommended pigment powders but alas--none in my town to buy so used Kool ade, Crystal Light and sugar free jello in place of those.
tutorial suggested placing filter over photo paper, added powder(s) of choice and then adding water via a mister. I tried that first with 3 grandsons helping and found 1. the mister moved the powder around, 2. white areas from wrinkles and bubbles in filter paper dominated the finished piece....so we wet the filter and placed it on the photo paper leaving some wrinkles and bubbles then added the powders. We liked that a great deal better.
boys were fascinated by the finished colors not being what the package showed and by the way they moved and messed with neighboring types.
We found that Crystal light gave the lightest almost pastel shades, jello was the only choice if you wanted a green and kool ade stains fingers worse than ink. The pictured card is CAS but colorful .
