As soon as I saw the CAS challenge theme of shoes for this week, I remembered a very old SU set that I keep reminding myself to use again. Today was the day!
I was inspired by this card by DeeinNJ from way back in 2004:
For my version I decided to do a quick one-sheet wonder using an 8.5x11" piece of white cardstock. I started by stamping the larger circles in orange, light green (which came out quite yellow in the picture), and light blue. Then I added several smaller shapes in fuchsia, and stamped assorted shoes in black ink. I stamped two of the sentiments two times each on white cardstock, then die cut them with the smallest circle from the Beautiful Shapes dies. I cut larger circles from a hot pink cardstock scrap and glued the smaller circles to the larger, then attached to the cards with foam tape.
It was fun playing with some old school stamps and an old school technique today!
USEIT2023: Some very old stamps came out of the drawers today -- the Judikins cube stamp with the solid circle is one of my first stamps ever purchased back in the 90s, and the SU set had a 2002 date on it. The smaller shapes came from a set of planner/calendar type stamps from k.i. memories, that I've had since 2008 or so. I'd used other stamps from the set but not those particular shapes before. I should definitely use them more, they are fun!
