Do you own cowboy boots? I have a pair and love them.
For my card today I used these cute cowboy boots from DRS Designs and colored them up with copics.
I also wanted to play around with the placement of the sentiment. This sentiment is all one stamp all lined up and I thought it would be fun to move the words around to show you that you don't have to cut apart your stamps to get your words in other places on your cards.
First, I stamped the full sentiment on acetate. Next, I lined up the "Life is better" part of the sentiment to the left of the boots. I then masked off the card where the rest of the sentiment would be stamped using the acetate as the guide so that I could just get the "Life is better" next to the boots.
I then moved the card front to line up where I wanted the words "in Cowboy" and then masked the card front where the words "Life is better" and "Boots" so that those would not stamp on the card.
Finally, I moved the card front to where I wanted the word "BOOTS". I then masked the top portion of the sentiment using the acetate as my guide. I then stamped the "BOOTS".
On my blog I have a picture of the acetate and masking paper to help show the process I used for my sentiment.
If you have acetate, give this a try to move around your sentiments and use only portions. It is a great way to stretch your stamps.
I would love it if you would check out my Blog: Shoe Girls Cards.
Thank you for looking!

I have four pair of cowboy boots and this caught my eye right away! I love your choice of colors (can't go wrong with turquoise on boots!) and the sentiment is spot on. Yee Haw!!

True. I had a number of pairs of boots I got in Texas and New Mexico, and had to give them all away. Killed me. A bunion can't work with boots. I love the colors you chose for your card, Lisa.
