Catching up on some recent Featured Stamper challenges today. Amber/ladystampz had a great gallery and after much waffling back and forth, I settled on this card to CASE:
I kept Amber's layout but backed the squares onto black cardstock for a little more contrast, and dry embossed them. I also made it a birthday card instead of a general hello card, and to make things more challenging, mixed it up with the color challenge from this week when I chose scraps from my scrap bin.
I started by choosing the colors getting as close to matching this week's color challenge colors as I could. I chose one solid cardstock piece for each of the three colors, and one pattern piece. I punched a bunch of 1" squares and arranged them on a strip of black cardstock cut to the same width as the white premade card. When I had an arrangement I liked, I glued the squares down and ran the black strip through my Big Shot with the crosshatch folder. I glued the strip onto the card front and stamped the sentiment in fuchsia ink. I had a very frustrating time finding glue that would make the ribbon trim stick to the card; I finally dug out some fabric glue from my mending kit and got it done with the help of 20 minutes under a heavy book post gluing! Finally, I added several hot pink dot stickers.
Hope your week was great, Amber, congratulations!
USEIT2023: paper scraps! Very slowly working my way through the tiny pompom trim and the sticky dots from my Dollar Tree stash. Love the square punch and this favorite embossing folder so they saw use again!

Terrific case. Great idea for using scraps. You made it work beautifully for the challenge colors. The pompom trim is cute. The embossing adds a nice touch.
