I was excited to see Jay_Bee as Featured Stamper and very sorry to have missed the actual week. I have lots of Janine's lovely work in my Favorites on here and on Pinterest as well. For my card I chose this one:
I actually started out trying to make one pretty similar to Janine's original, but I pulled a piece of a commercial greeting card from my scrap box that was an entirely different color, and the card grew from there, retaining Janine's layout and that's about it.
The cardstock piece with what looks like old fresco along the edge is upcycled from a commercial greeting card, complete with the already rounded edge! I inked the leaf from SU All I Have Seen with brown and then rolled the darker brown pad along the edges and stamped on the card piece. I colored in the leaf image with an olive alcohol marker and stamped the sentiment in pesto ink. I layered the light green patterned paper onto a white premade card, and trimmed and attached the brown piece across the front. I stuck down a strip of double-sided tape on the brown strip, attached the two skeleton leaves, and attached the card piece with foam tape so it covered the bottom of the leaves (and the tape).
Congrats again to Janine, I hope you week was wonderful!
USEIT2022: the All I Have Seen set is one of my oldest SU sets, the skeleton leaves are ancient (was surprised they hadn't crumbled away), and the papers came from my scrap box.
