Color Challenge hosted by Karen. Her inspiring colors are Orchid Oasis, So Saffron, and Parakeet Party with any fourth color for dessert.
I stamped my image in Stazon ink on watercolor paper. Then, I watercolored it with water painter brushes and ink. For dessert, I added a little Garden Green ink on the leaves for a darker shade. I grounded the image with a little Sahara Sand wash (neutral). After it was dry, I added some speckles with the same color marker. The flower centers have white Nuvo Drops.
Since my image is small, I used a precut & scored notecard with envelope from Stampin Up. These notecards are so handy for a quick card. They take less DSP to cover the front, so I could spare some to also cover the envelope flap for a coordinated look. Finishing touches were Linen thread wrapped & tied into a bow and Wink of Stella on the jar edges and petals.
I hope you will try out your creative ideas with this beautiful color combo. Have fun! TFL

this is pretty Diane- I like the jar of flowers and your water coloring. And placing the image on a die cut background draws your eye right to the image.

Diane, I am so pleased to see a note card in the gallery. That size is so convenient for a quick note, and a perfect way to use a smaller image. I love the way you grounded, your vase of flowers and the speckles. Love the envelope embellishment as well.
