For my monster, I used a new die with an acorn, which is huge in comparison to those still on the tree, and made it into a birdhouse, decorated with zentangle.
For MMJ223, I die cut the branch from recycled chipboard & colored it with DTP inks, then trimmed it to fit the page. The bird is die cut from DP, as well as a few layers of card stock. The acorn is die cut from card stock and a recycled blue envelope, and the cap is card stock with drywall tape on top for texture. That is colored with brown paint.
For MIX525, I actually picked more than 3. I drew the zentangle on the birdhouse, as well as the oak leaves. Something metallic: an eyelet. Something from nature: tree branch, acorns & leaves, & a bird. Sewing for the 'chain' to hang the birdhouse. Something from the hardware store: drywall tape.
The background is tissue paper left over from playing with the coffee filter & brusho printing, where I was experimenting. I also brushed glossy mod podge on all the leaves and little acorns, as well as the colored zentangle on the birdhouse.
