I'm late to Janelle's MIX challenge from last Friday: MIX524: On Your MARKers! (2/10/23) by dizzymommie at Splitcoaststampers I was away from home for the day, and have had no stamping time since.
So, I had another go at the misted marker vellum tutorial, since the first time I tried it I misted too much and faded my colours: Misted Marker Vellum Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers
I used a vellum printed with butterflies, and BIC markers, all I have by way of alcohol markers. Cut the butterfly die three times, once from black, once from gold and once from a piece of tissue paper stamping from TLC928 (Forums at Splitcoaststampers, which being acrylics gets me in to mixed media. Plus I also buffed my two black butterflies with luster/metallic rub-ons. I now have to make two more cards to use the rest of the butterflies . Edged the panel with Stickles, and used a gold gel pen to border the base. This is for my SIL's birthday, I usually try to make her butterfly cards.
ETA - only the gold butterflies are fully inlaid. The others all have a little silicone glue to ensure the wings stay slightly popped up with the bodies glued to the base.
