Great SC this week. I knew I wanted to use this cabin scene with the beauty of the earth DSP so I flipped the SC to make it work. Mounted rectangles and then embossed for the added winter effect. Used a vertical sentiment - my 1st Christmas card of the year! Colored the cabin scene with alcohol markers and then added a few elements from the snow front set to fill in some space and masked in some snow lines. Added some wink of stellar for added snow sparkle. The cabin is a peaceful slow-paced place to visit and recharge. Always love it there. This is also a place to be warm and cozy during the winter. Claudette - I just gasped! This is SUCH a beauty! I feel warm, cozy, and at ease just looking at it. (How about we have a week-long crafty retreat to such a place? The dream of the thought is in of itself a thrill!) Having been blessed with a winter honeymoon to the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming, this reminds me of the beauty and solitude we enjoyed there, and takes me back to that wonderful few days in Heaven-on-earth (8 years ago! oh my! lol).
Thank you so much for playing along in this week's sketch challenge!

Terrific take on the sketch. I like how you turned it to accommodate your cabin image. Cute little cabin. Great papers to go with it. Love that vertical sentiment. I wish I had some like that one; sometimes a design just needs a vertical one. Well done on your card and with the sketch.

Love this scene. I love cabins and I love snow (since I rarely get it) so you know I think this is an awesome card.
