In honor of our dear friend, Carlene, we are playing challenge catch-up. Jenn, our Teapot Party Hostess, requested that we look back at old challenges and try to use at least three challenges to inspire our cards.
Our cards will be sent to her husband John and family. I hope our card shower will bring her family some comfort. Carlene was the master of using multiple challenges on one card! She will be missed.
I managed to use these challenges to create this card: A Color Challenge "Granny's Delightful Pie by the Pool", Ways to Use It challenge "layers" and free for all, "birds."
I brayered my background with a "pool" color, then colored my bird by inking various stamps with Altenew inks, using my Misti to position the stamps. I stamped and colored my branch, then die cut the bird and branch. I stamped my sentiment on the finished card.

Beautiful bird and beautiful sentiment. You used this week's colors to perfection in making this lovely card for John. I know the cards will bring him comfort.

I love the texture and patterns you got brayering the bg and the "pool" color was the perfect choice, IMHO, because it not only reminds me of sky but your adorable bird looks fabulous against it. Great bird image too! And you topped it all off with that beautiful and encouraging sentiment. Wonderful card.
