Greetings artful SCS'ers, I am bringing a very visually rich card to the galleries today. You might want to put on your shades!
It's the fourth Tuesday of the month when the Teapotters make cards for one another. Anita (Snietje) is our hostess. She challenged us to use a face, stripes, and dots on our cards. It's been many years since I used this beautiful Stampa Rosa image and I immediately thought of it for my face. I love the thoughtful poise. And you know how it goes, one thing leads to another and down the rabbit hole one goes...
The vintage Basic Grey 'Marrakech' paper group from 2008 was perfect for the background, stylized stripes, the crimped frame strips were also 'Marrakech' and the 'Green at Heart' purple was a scrap. My pensive beauty was stamped onto gold vellum and embossed with super detail clear ep. I colored the back of the image with Copic on the lips and eyes. She was paper pieced and fussy cut. I bent the head to give it some dimension. Added a pearl necklace, amethyst earring, and a few glided leaves behind her. My dots are in her garment.
Todays' Inspriation Challenge visits a creative website: Running with Sisters. Filigree Wrap Bracelet. I thought the suede color and the silver pattern of the charms was perfect. I actually love the simplicity.
After all these luscious patterns and colors, I chose 'Bohemian' as my sentiment. And I ask: do you see yourself within that definition? Thank you for stopping by, I hope one of those bohemian words jumps right out at 'ya!!!

I can see you have used some of your hoarded Basic Grey paper - I used to have some of that!! It works wonderfully as the background for your framed definition and wonderful bohemian woman - love the necklace and wonderful flowers in her hair along with the gold leaf collar (?) a beautifully designed card Susan!

Those are the things I believe in, and think I have a bohemian spirit. That said, I love that image, and the wonderful and colorful papers, inspired by the bracelet. As usual, an unusual card from you, mdf.

I recognised that paper instantly, I liked that pack. It's in keeping with your great image. It reminds me somewhat of the elaborate wrappers that some of the African women wear to church on Sundays. I like the little crimped strips.

PS, edited your keyword. I wondered why, when I clicked on, I saw three cards with faces (your typo was in good company ) and all the rest were from 2019.

I am totally impressed you stamped her on Vellum. ( I am still hoarding some of this paper so, I grinned to see it here) and I love the crinkle framing too.
