I dug into my leftover backgrounds drawer and selected some pieces to cut into half inch strips. I tried not to overthink it and just go with it. The colors are different and I changed to horizontal instead of diagonal. The sentiments are stamped and the theme changed.
After I adhered the strips together, I die-cut a heart and trimmed the edges. Then I mounted the panel on white, stamped the sentiment and put on a card base. The die-cut heart was adhered to a white card base. I stamped a different sentiment. Both cards have some turquoise gems from my stash. Great ideas for using up those numerous background we all love to create.
Also, I am linking up for the Free 4 All Challenge to put a heart on it.
Thank you, Kathy for sharing your beautiful cards with us and for inspiring mine today!

Fantastic design! Love the colors/patterns, the cut-out die-cut heart, and the gem accents on both. The CAS one is beautiful, too. Both fabulous...
