I'm playing catch up on the Alphabet Challenge and this is my entry for letter F with a theme of fidget spinners.
I had fun making this z-fold card with a spinning snowflake. I found this video tutorial: and stuck with the snowflake theme but made my own designer paper.
I ink smooshed my three colors of ink, sprayed with water, and added my paper. I did this with two panels though with the second panel, I kept the inks around the outside of the paper leaving the center open for a sentiment. After ink smooshing and drying, I stamped a few small snowflakes here and there over the panel as well.
The z-fold portion is easy enough, just a 5.5 x 8.5 paper, scored in half, and then one of those halves scored in half again. I added my panel to the front and then die cut the circle. I eye balled the center and didn't really do it very well, I probably should have measured it.
I stamped the sentiment in the center of the other panel and added it to the inside.
I die cut two of the glitter snowflakes and glued them together with the silver thread in the center. I turned the panel over, placed the snowflake on the thread in the fold of the panel, added a light amount of glue to secure the snowflake in place. (I used an embossing buddy on the glue after it was dry to remove the tackiness.)
If you spin the snowflake before inserting the card into the envelope so it will spin when the recipient opens it. This was fun to make.
Thanks for the challenge, Ann, and thanks for looking!
