Yay, I colored and did a fold technique, all at the same time! Sometimes I amaze myself. This is for today's MIX (use something new, I hadn't used the cute little heart girl before or the sweet sorbet ink OR the sentiment stamps); this week's colors: sweet sorbet, mint macaron and early espresso; and the F is for Fidget Spinner on the Alpha thread. The theme of this round of Alpha challenges is toys. I have to admit, I question the need for Fidget Spinners..don't people drum their fingers or twiddle their thumbs anymore??
This card was very fun but challenging for me. I've done spinners before, never really liked the outcome. I like this one better but it truly doesn't spin quite right. Even though I pulled the thread tightly, I think it's sagging and catching on the bottom of the opening. Word of advice: choose a bigger die for that opening and use heavier thread. I used the heaviest I had. Because I don't color much (too impatient), it took me a while to figure out what to do and colored pencils seemed the best for me. I tried ai markers but I had trouble with the very small details and then one of the markers decided to play tricks on me. But I did use all three of the SU inks also. Sweet sorbet is more red than I thought it was and mint macaron is darker than I think mint should be. I chose the little Bella girl because she is sweeter than sweet and this will be a Valentine for a granddaughter. I don't do cute very often but I really had to have one of these SB stamps. Adorable!
Thanks for the challenges!

The little girl is just adorable. I love the bling on the tip of her hat.The string spinner sounds like a great take for the ABC challenge. I think I've usually made them vertical, it might be that gravity is pulling it down a little?
I've never seen anyone with a fidget spinner, but worry beads have certainly been a thing for a long time and I've seen a lot of people using them in Greece.

Jean you did well creating a spinner card given you don’t usually like the outcome. So cute. Happy day and hugs

Well, you did a great job on this spinner! I love the little girl, gathering up hearts in her backpack, love the stenciled background. Perfect card for a granddaughter!

Such a cute image of your little gal picking up hearts. Your spinner card is a great idea. I just saw one the other day where they had used two threads so that when yo wind the spinner maybe it would give it more twist to want to unwind. I am planning to try it because I have had some trouble with not much spin a time or two as well.
