Today's watercolor lesson was a simple winter blended bg. I used Cerulean, Light Blue and Paynes gray.
The artist was focused on demonstrating something called Extenders EP that can be mixed with other powders for a new look. That got me thinking of some of my own MORE than 30-year-old powder. I pulled out Opague White (so old it should now be called Opague ECRU) and Clear Kaleidascope. I mixed parts of these 2 together and got a white satiny color with a subtle iridescent sheen that I will actually use now. You just never know what you'll pick up from a watercolor lesson!

Linda, this is beautiful and I love those adorable trees. Glad you have an old product made new again. I think you are right about never knowing what you will learn from a watercolor challenge.

We do have variety with our challenges. You created some cool bling with your older embossing powders. My heating tool died when doing my card. I found out a hair dryer doesn't get hot enough to melt the powder. Now there is a new heating tool in my craft room. Thanks for playing Linda and again enjoy your creation.

Love that you turned the base and made a snowy scene with your beautiful trees. Also glad you did some chemistry and saved your antique EP. Fun stuff. WCW challenges are super inspiring, educational, and make us stretch - guess that is why we love them so much. GREAT card, Linda. Hugz
