I remember when I got my bike. I was in Jr. High. We would ride for hours on the weekends. There was a group of us & each would have 25c in our pocket for the pay phone - what's that!? Half the time we all took a bag lunch. But we were always home by dinner. We never knew where we were going, just riding on the country lanes. What fun memories.
I didn't know I had a bicycle stamp until I was going through a 'for sale' box. There it was! I stamped & colored the bike. I added the LAAT because I got my bike for Christmas. Created a sky with a torn paper edge. I tried to create a basket weave but my Crumb Cake seems to be out of ink.
Thanks for stopping by

Love your story. Christmas would be a tough time to get a bike if you live where it snows, but back then, that would have been the time for a big gift. Great card.

Great find in your for sale box. I keep going into mine when I think of a stamp that I haven't used for ages. Love the color of your bike and how thinking about when you received it made the addition of the tree come to mind. Great card.

What a lovely bicycle image and card. I also liked your story about your first bike - was it the same color as the bike on your card? I like how you made your background too.
