Our hostess for the New Years Eve Inspiration Challenge IC891, Amy(Kalla Walla) has brought us a timely and marvelous prompt for ringing in the New Year! Goodness, Amy, SO many clever, beautiful, unique, and classic clocks. I actually got lost in your link...especially in the Mod Style '60's. And I actually veered into hourglasses. I loved the image of the older couple waking hand in hand and the sands of time flowing.
The card fold is from a tutorial in the SCS gallery. A Happy New Year. This fold is a great way to use up your bits and pieces. I used Authentique's 'Solitude' Winter Vintage papers. The beautiful birds were also dry embossed on the narrowest panel. I used an unknown die for the champagne glasses. One cut from clear frosted vellum and the other very vanilla.
The sentiment was embossed with both a turquoise and bronze embossing powder. I love how just a small edge embossed in metallics really adds dimension. Thanks so much for your comments.

What a beautiful card! The bird paper is so fresh and pretty. Love the die cut glasses, especially the vellum. The embossed band has the apperance of leather. A lovely card.
