Beach Scene~

Poster: stampin'nana

 Today's WT:Make a Scene. Yesterday's WCW
I decided to give a beach scene a try using the water color Dry Brush technique. I used olive and crumb cake on the reeds and sand for the beach sand. The pool party sky turned out quite light so I sponged around the edges in each of the coordinating colors. I also sponged crumb onto the crumb panel and used foam tape to pop it up. I added seashells around the cb but didn't like it, so I just flipped the card and now I have a nice panel of shells to surround the sentiment! Thanks for stopping by today! ~Roberta

GF, this is really pretty. I like your idea of a beach scene and I think your drybrush looks fabulous. Love this.

Ooh, a beach scene, Roberta, is a fabulous idea. Your reeds look perfect and I like your sandy area. All of the colors look beautiful together. Super painting and sponging and a beautiful card.

Perfectly created scene for a winter day - it's snowing outside and that beach scene looks like something from my childhood beach path!

This is beautiful Roberta, I love grasses and had a large area in my garden for many of them.

Beautifully done. It reminds me of one of the nearby beaches we used to visit as a child which had a lot of marram grass in the dunes. I too would love to be there, it looks so peaceful.

Such a peaceful scene - I like the way your reeds bow both directions to frame that sandy path to the water's edge. I can see how much texture that WC paper has and that REALLY enhancse the sandy, pebbly look of your path.
