I ran out of Arches cold press and it is all but impossible to do dry brush on hotpress. Alas I did some grasses anyway, along with some daisies poking out and splatters of red to represent small flowers. Attached piece to foam then to Sweet Basil card base. I have more pictures and details over on my blog. *I cannot explain why it appears blurry here, it is not a blurry picture and is not blurry on my blog.

It's a beautiful painting of the lovely grasses, but you are so right about not being able to do this technique without the rough texture. Thanks for sharing how it looks on hot press paper.

I love your grasses and flowers and I can understand the troubles without the right paper, I didn't try on cheaper, but I like your card!! The touches of red are capturing the eye!!

I like the variety of colors you layered here to really give some depth to those grass fronds and the joyful look of those tiny white flowers. The red spatters add some nice contrast and interest.
