For Brenda's WCW134 - Snowy Winter Landscape & Lisa's CAS722 - Many Thanks challenges.
GREAT watercolor tutorial this week! Come join us in the Watercolor Wednesday challenge forum! This week's tutorial was a beautiful painting by Sisa:
Loved this loved this love this! Thank you, Brenda, for such an approachable and somewhat short and sweet challenge! This was just what I needed to get my brave girl pants on and give this beautiful painting a shot. I love the tutorial, though I had to slow it down and watch it about three times before I dare to attempt it myself.
I hated it at first - when I came back to do the final layer, I was sure I had just ruined. The whole works with the interest. I tried to add with the brown. But when I came back the next day, after it had dried, what do you know... I kinda like it!
This is a card to send to a dear friend, who bless me, with the most beautiful oil painting of my gelding and I for Christmas that she commissioned from her friend. It came is such a surprise, and I knew no other option, but to paint her her own painting in gratitude!!!
THANK YOU so much for stopping by and looking!
Blessings,
C

How perfect to be able to send her a hand painted card for the wonderful painting of your gelding. Your work is very articulate and beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing and adding it to the gallery. Fav'd

You've got some beautiful colors in this wonderful winter scene, Chrissy! I, too, watched the video 3 times before attempting the painting. So glad you stuck with it and now you have a beauty to thank your friend for the beautiful gift she gave to you~

Chrissy, this is just beautiful. I love your trees and that you did them like the tutorial showed. I never liked mine when I tried that. Plus, you made a wonderful background with more trees. You are really blessed to receive the painting from your friend. I know you jumped for joy when you saw it. Have a wonderful winter day and I'm so happy you did my challenge.
