I'm a bit late to the party for this past Monday's CAS-rainbows, but wanted to play anyway. Since I was out of town, all I had with me was watercolors so that's mostly what I used to make a simple background. The bottom bit is made with Distress Inks because I wasn't happy with the watercolor intensity for the last three colors and I stamped the sentiment crooked. Story of my life! I had cut a triangle mask for a tree and Zentangled the patterns with black pens and colored gel pens. I doodled a border, featuring some checks. I'm CASing Heather, this week's FS. I'm happy to see her back in the gallery and this is what I chose: In{k}spired Wonder by Gadabout at Splitcoaststampers
Lots of white, soft colors, trees and her little trees made me think of Zentangle or doodling.
Finally, for yesterday's IC: https://www.cakecentral.com/gallery/...christmas-tree
Thanks for the challenges!

Love your rainbow bg and love that zentangle tree even more. I don't know what the other colors looked like, but the distress inks you decided to use on the bottom look wonderful--so great switch-up. Your doodling is so fun and adds just the right touch of graphic delight and whimsy. Fabulous card.

Very cool, Jean. Love your doodled tree, very fun borders, and the story of your adventure. Colorful and super fun. Hugz
