Lisa is hosting and she has challenged us with the word, Peace. We are sending cards to Walt Scrivens to let him know we are thinking of him. Walt is the husband of our sweet friend, Cheryl, who went to be with the Lord earlier this year.
I made a stencil from a plaid die and stenciled the background panel. With various texture stamps I added interest to the vertical panel as well as the three aspen leaf die cuts. I added a twine bow. The sentiment is a computer generated scripture verse that speaks of the peace that comes from the Lord. Thank you for hosting, Lisa!

Gorgeous, Rita. I love the stenciled bg and all the texture you have created and combined in so many creative ways. The leaves are fabulous and the stamping does add a lot of interest. Beautiful design and a beautiful verse. I think both will give Walt a sense of support and comfort. Wonderful card.

This is a fabulous looking card with a fabulous promise. Love your colors-that blue is beautiful and rich looking. Love how you used the die to do the stencilling! Beautiful leaves and twine bow!

Lovely layout, lovely card for the challenge. I really like the different visual texture you added to the leaves. And what a lovely comforting assuring verse to use.
