This is Lovely Legs - Bethlehem's Light from Colorado Craft Company. I was browsing the store for some Christmas stamps and I ran across one that the set itself did not draw my attention. It was Sandy Allnock's coloring of the image. I thought it was breathtaking and I wanted to make the very same card for my loved ones' Christmas cards! So I bought the set and then visited Sandy's website to see if she had a tutorial on how she'd colored the image. Alas! I did not find one! I found lots of other nifty tutorials so now I am watching her stuff along with Elaine Hughe's Marker Geek channel on YouTube. Sandy has lots of great free information but she's also got some truly awesome affordable classes, I had to sign up for a couple!! I should have checked first to see if I could find the tutorial for this technique before purchasing the stamp, but, well, the damage is done! Sandy used browns and really dark colors. I am scared of dark colors. LoL And I thought I might could replicate it myself with a blue sky. As I was almost done, I realized why she'd used browns. LoL But, again, the damage had been done! Since finishing this, I have grown to like it and decided to go along with it anyway. I did CASE her card, but since I was unsure of how to color it, it is not as spectacular as hers. I invite you to go check it out so you can see for yourself how breathtaking her card really is! You can see it as a sample image at the Colorado Craft Company store. I used some blue metallic cardstock from my stash to mount the image onto white cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers and white and gold Dyvicl gel pens.
Thanks for looking!

Oh my - this is wonderful! Sandy is an awesome artist, so I can see why she inspired you. But don't look down on your card - it really is beautiful! (I enjoy her classes, too!)
