This is for today's IC, using the first picture of the fourth line. Great choices today, Julie!
This is (finally) my offering for the tea party tickle this week. My challenge but I was really behind on a bunch of stuff and finally got my head around it. I had created a Pinterest page of paper weights, since I collect them, and I asked everyone to choose a paperweight that inspired them and add something glass to their creation...not necessarily really glass but glass-like. My centerpiece is an alcohol ink gel print with many layers of Utee on it; it warped pretty badly and when I tried to straighten it, it cracked. Serendipity, it cracked in a really excellent way. I mounted it on top of some funky shaped dies, sprayed with similar colors to my paperweight, which is from my own collection, then layered over some mercury glass acetate from SU. There is really glass on the card....a small stick pin at the top right, bought on Etsy years ago. For what purpose?? That remained to be seen. I have more, just forget to use them.
Thanks for looking and participating!

I like the cracking and thought you had used crackle paint on it. I used to collect hat pins. I didn't use them but liked them.

I thought I had commented on ALL the cards in this gallery so don't know how I missed this one. All those layers of UTEE made for a marvelous faux glass surface on your orb and I love both the movement and subtle shimmer that lay deep beneath the surface. The whole effect is just beautiful.
